We read some great books and then we had some fun comparing our hair colour, eye colour, height, the number of brothers and sisters we have, the colour of our skin and some of our special family traditions.
We discovered that we all look the same because we have two arms and two legs, two eyes and two ears, a mouth and a nose....but we all look different because our arms and legs are different sizes and shapes and colours, our eyes are different shapes and sizes....so we are all the same but all different.
We celebrated the things that we have in common (that's a fancy word for the same)
- we all have arms, legs, eyes, ears, nose....
- we are all in Room 10
- We all all go to St Albans School
- We all have a family
- We all live in a house
- We all have lunch in our lunch boxes
- we all said a poem in the poetry competition
We celebrated the things that make us different
- we are different sizes
- we have different coloured hair, eyes, skin
- we have different sorts of houses
- we have different kinds of food in our lunch boxes
- we all said different poems in the poetry competition
We made this really cool friendship circle to celebrate the special people in our class. You can see we all have two hands but they are different sizes and colours.
