Cooking Trolley Inquiry

Today we were very excited because we decided to do a mini inquiry.  This is a special kind of learning where we have to think deeply and come up with great ideas and solutions to problems.

We had a Big Idea we would like a cooking trolley so we can do lots of cooking and baking at school.
We had a Problem- we have no money to buy the things we need because children don't come to school with money in their pockets!

SO....we put on our Thinking Caps and came up with a great Plan!

We decided we could write a letter to the school families and ask if they have anything we could use in our cooking trolley.

First we wrote a letter to Mrs Warren to ask her to come to Room 10 so we could share our plan and ask permission to do it.

Kai Ying, Rachel and Tane went to Mrs Warren's office to invite her to our classroom.

Mrs Warren visited us after morning tea!  It was so exciting!

Ollie was our official photographer.

Ava welcomed Mrs Warren to our class.  Then we shared our idea with her....she said YES
.....SO we wrote a letter together to put in the school newsletter.
We are hoping all the families see our letter and some people can donate (that's a fancy would for give) us some things for our cooking trolley.  We would like things like bowls, ingredients, spoons, cups and lots of other things too.

We know that cooking helps us do great learning too!

Can your family help us?
